Methodologists of educational institutions, teachers, representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan took part in a seminar on the use of the educational program «Climate Box».
The workshop was held jointly with the United Nations Development Program as part of the regional project «Climate Education to Promote the SDGs and Action on Climate Change».
Participants were informed about planned activities within the project.
The Climate Box Project aims to support the implementation of climate education curricula, disseminate the climate education program, and promote the Climate Box curriculum through new innovative digital and online tools.
«Climate Box» is an educational program and a set of materials of the same name on the topic «climate change» for schoolchildren and youth. The Climate Box offers information about climate change, assignments, project ideas, games, as well as recommendations and training for teachers on how to teach this hot topic in class and through extracurricular activities.
The «Climate Box» offers new ways to teach «climate change» in schools, giving young people opportunities to think about the problem, explore possible solutions and take concrete action to protect the climate and the planet.
