Turkmenistan will host the International Olympiad on International Relations and Geopolitical Modeling, organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan among students of higher educational institutions of Central Asian countries and Caspian Littoral States.

The main purpose of the Olympiad is to identify the intellectual skills and abilities of students in the field of international relations and geopolitics, strengthen friendly ties between the student youth of the respective regions, promote the exchange of educational experience, mutually beneficial exchange of scientific knowledge, and train young specialists capable of solving modern scientific and applied problems. Establishing and expanding links between universities of our country and foreign countries, as well as the popularization of cultural and educational diplomacy of neutral Turkmenistan are also among the main tasks of the upcoming event.

The Olympiad is scheduled to be held at the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan from May 22 to 25. Three students are invited to take part in it under the guidance of one teacher from each participating State. The Olympiad will be held in the form of individual and team competitions. The working languages are Turkmen, Russian and English.

According to preliminary data, participants will be offered tasks in such areas as Current trends in international relations and geopolitical modeling; New directions of application of mathematics and mathematical modeling in the study of international relations and international processes; Application of mathematical methods in the study of the system of international relations; Application of new information technologies in modeling international politics; Research of global trends in international transport logistics; Study of the digital transformation of international logistics; Development of foreign policy expertise, promotion of scientific and applied research in this field, etc.

The Olympiad jury will include the heads of participating teams, representatives of scientific and educational institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries. The winners of the Olympiad will be awarded with medals and diplomas of the appropriate degrees, as well as certificates of honor and gifts.
