Employees of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport have started a training course on the specifics of maritime transportation.
Online training sessions will be organized as part of a joint action plan concluded between the "Turkmen Logistics" Association and the Turkmenbashi International Seaport in partnership with the representation of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Central Asia.
The courses will run until March 12.
The first training session, dedicated to maritime management and leadership, was conducted by Kirill Samarai, an international expert in maritime transportation.
He acquainted the participants with trends in maritime logistics, discussed management, including the functions and role of port management, methods for optimizing operations and integration of maritime cargo operations into supply chains.
He also presented information on innovative technologies that could change maritime logistics in the coming years, explained which qualities and leadership strategies are most effective in implementing sustainable development of ports.
