On April 20, 2024, a literary evening was held at the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Herat, Afghanistan, in honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of poet Magtymguly Pyragy with the participation of representatives of the Turkmen diaspora and local cultural authorities.

The speakers at the literary evening noted that under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, national culture and art in the country have reached great heights of development, and the creative heritage of Magtymguly Pyragy is recognized worldwide.

At the event, the participants exchanged views on the life and work of Magtymguly Pyragy. They noted that the work of the great poet and thinker Magtymguly Pyragy had an impact not only on Turkmen literature and the spiritual world, but also on the peoples of the East.
