The current creative action, continuing the active contacts of friendly states in the humanitarian sphere, confirms the interest of the peoples of the two countries in each other's spiritual life, the desire to establish closer contacts and ties. At the same time, its implementation is the result of the policy of openness, good-neighborliness and broad international cooperation pursued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and has received recognition and support from the international community.
In the practice of Turkmen-Austrian creative cooperation, there are Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Austria, Days of Culture of the city of Vienna in Ashgabat, performances by Turkmen masters of Art in Vienna and Austrian artists in Ashgabat, participation of Austrian soloists in international festivals held in our country, etc.
The joint symphony orchestra "Galkynyş", created with the support and patronage of the Hero Arkadaga, is also a symbol of fruitful bilateral partnership in this field. Of course, the Viennese Balls in Turkmenistan can be attributed to the most striking projects.
The Vienna Ball is the hallmark of the Austrian capital, which has not lost its popularity for almost two hundred years, but, on the contrary, has gone beyond the borders of Austria and even Europe, becoming a regularly held cultural event in many countries of the world.
The atmosphere of solemnity inherent in the Viennese Ball is created by the sophistication and elegance of the decorations and colors of the holiday, emphasized by the costumes of the participants, as well as classical music, which fills the entire space of the square.
A delegation from the Republic of Austria, which included members of the Austrian-Turkmen Society, a creative group consisting of famous opera soloists, a conductor and dancers, arrived in Turkmenistan specifically to participate in the Vienna Ball.
The national Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in his welcoming speech noted that independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan confidently follows the path of progressive development. Our happy people have a succession of holidays.
Stressing the tireless efforts of Arkadagly Hero Serdar in the development of friendly and fraternal relations between Turkmenistan and the countries of the world, Hero-Arkadag stressed that relations with the Republic of Austria occupy a special place in the foreign policy of our neutral state.
International cultural events are regularly held in Turkmenistan and Austria, which is of great importance for further strengthening the traditionally friendly bilateral partnership.
As noted, in order to further improve the profile relations between Turkmenistan and Austria, to familiarize with the achievements of the song and musical art of the two peoples, the Turkmen-Austrian Symphony Orchestra "Galkynyş" was established in 2009, and its first concert was held in Ashgabat in April 2009.
